Voting Question: On Deal or No Deal for the military version, why the hell was the contestant a general instead of a soldier?

Do those higher ranking Army officers think that soliders are lowly and undeserving of such a change at winning on a gameshow? THat general had it easy, every that money, every that prestige, his position, the contestant should've been a lucky soldier, someone who just got back from Iraq, who really earned his stripes on the battlefield and did a good job in combat, NOT a damn general. Yeah, I guess when you think of those privates, those soldeirs, guess you think of lowly ants who don't deserve to have it every glad and nice at anything, like making money from WallStreet, getting to steer a Lamborghini, I guess if he goes to a casino and wins a jackpot, I guess he should just give every of that damn money to his general because he doesn't deserve it because he's just a lowly soldeir, RIGHT? I guess they reallt are maggots who don't deserve to have it every great and have what they want while they're in the Army or Marines, RIGHT?

Resolved Question: Is it my imagination or is there a connection?

Morgan Stanley predicts oil prices to rise to $150 a barrel in July and they immediately jump $10 per barrel. And whichever commodities trader who purchased 10 million barrels of oil just made $100 million which comes out of my pocket. Should there be a law against publicly trading oil? Should people who do not drill, boat, refine the oil be making billions in profits at our expense? I of course am not buying the wallstreet explanation that that is only a tiny percentage of the cost of gas. What can be done? Isn't this something we have just started doing a few years ago? Trading oil publicly? Actually I DO have to buy gas. Especially in today's job market there are few jobs around the corner from my home. I have to work in the next state. I do however possess a Kia Rio stick that gets great mileage. Still. Its too much for gas.

Voting Question: Ivy leagues and my future?

I finished 4th in my senior HS class, I got a 2310 on my SAT's, played sports, did debate and the academix team....and I got waitlisted at 3 Ivy League schools because "This year marks a record breaking amount of applicants at our school and we deeply regret not being able to accept you" and every that mumbo-jumbo. I dealt with it, or so I thought. I'm scheduled to start at Lafayette this fall, where one of my parents works. Being such a good student, tuition remission from parental employment scholarship money is keeping me from having to spend pretty much any money to go to school. I've been comforting myself in the fact that while I didn't receive into an Ivy league, I'm not going to arrive out of college with loans, and I can still make the best of my intended major (bioengineering) being that lafayette is a great engineering school. However, an article in the Wallstreet Journal has really thrown me for a loop. It seems that no matter how difficult I try in college or how well I can do a job, I can expect to, when doing the same exact job, make markedly less money than an Ivy League graduate. http://finance.yahoo.com/college-education/article/105499/Ivy-Leaguers'-Big-Edge-Starting-Pay I suppose this is more of a vent than a question, but what do you every think of the idea of Ivy leagues getting these names about them that earn their graduates more money than the relax of us when I've heard that in some cases the hardest part of an ivy league college is getting in and then it's essentially like any other college. Their selectivity and elitism have sway over me/my future coworker's income? Have any of you people out there experienced this? Like the article explains that fresh out of college a rutgers student was making less money in the same job than someone from...Harvard? i believe.

Resolved Question: Why do men have to be so many different things to get respect from women?

We gotta be a thug in the sheets and a gentleman in the streets,we gotta be as clean as a wallstreet businessman but still be able to go to the hood and receive it for the low low, we gotta be a good guy and a bad ass at the same time. We gotta be generous to the ladies and savvy with the ladies but then were labeled as a player. W gotta be an every of the over complicated guy but be a simple man at the same time. I mean what the f**k. We never put that many high expectations on a lady. Only that she be attractive, clean ,and respectful. Thats about it for most guys. I think that women have been watching so much tv and movies and videos,.... theyve been seeing every these different types of men that they like so when encounter a man every these things are what they look for. They use that judge a man to say whether or not hes worthy of respect . Women say men are icy and uncaring but with so much rejection we have to be that way. Guys have feelings to protect too.

Resolved Question: Why Do People Want Obama? Wasn't One Jimmy Carter Bad Enough?

From Jimmy Carter we learned that socialism does not work and we learned trying to fix an economy by raising taxes does not work. Also, even the non-biased Wallstreet Journal says Obama doesn't understand economics. With Carter there was: 1) High inflation. 2) High interest rates 3) High unemployment rates. 4) Appeasement of Iran, which affects America today. 5) Appeasement of China, which affects America today. To thefirem: The dollar is down because of the housing problem. The dollar was fine until the housing mess. President Bush did not force anyone to buy homes. However, Clinton change the rules to allow needy people to purchase homes. Clinton also removed most PMI insurance which protected lenders when home owners didn't make their payments. Clinton thought PMI insurance was too expensive for needy people The economy was good until the housing mess. The proof is there was a lot of tax revenue growth. Tax revenue growth is a good indication of how an economy is performing. The tax cuts have been stimulating the economy, which has increased tax revenue. Federal Budget Deficit Falls To Lowest Level In Five Years "the only reason why the budget deficit has been going down is because tax revenues have been soaring and actually out pacing spending..." http://www.kxmc.com/News/Nation/171482.asp THIRD STRAIGHT ANNUAL DECLINE " "US 2007 Budget Deficit Falls to $163 Billion (Update1)" "The deficit narrowed to $162.8 billion in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, the THIRD STRAIGHT ANNUAL DECLINE and lowest since $158 billion in 2002, ..." http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&sid=abGA3.0koGV4&refer=us 9/11's damage to the economy, the subsequent war on terror, and Clinton's last minute handout programs caused most of the budget deficit. Bill Clinton was lucky the internet boom took place during his presidency otherwise the national debt would have really grown. Currently over $1.2 trillion is spent yearly on federal hand outs, which is nearly double the military budget for the U.S. (The $1.2 trillion does not include state, county and city handouts.) "Sen. Barack Obama Has Proposed A Laundry List Of Tax Hikes On The Campaign Trail, Which Would Hurt The Economy"..."Obama Has Called For Higher Income Taxes, Social Security Taxes, Investment Taxes, And Corporate Taxes, As Well As "Massive New Domestic Spending." http://www.houseconservatives.com/blog/baracks-great-economic-plan/ "Barack Obama thinks higher taxes are a good thing"..."Obama’s claims to the contrary, his votes to lift taxes on people earning as little as $31,50 are straight from the Democrats’ tax-and-spend playbook" ttp://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/03/obamathetaxrais.html http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/03/obamathetaxrais.html

Resolved Question: What’s your advice for me ?

I am a big player on oil trading, from Wallstreet firms like Morgan Stanly or Goldman & Sachs, etc. I bought millions and millions of barrels of oil when they were in the range $60--$100 a barrel. I expect to make a kill when I sell. But right now it’s only $135 a barrel. Following are my difficulties. Please advise: Difficulty 1) Congress is now investigating on oil speculation, but if I sell right now, I would not make a big profit. Unless the price is in the range of $160--$200. My agents already feel the spin out to the media : “Oil future looks high, expecting in the range of $200” But it seems not working price up as quick as I expected Difficulty 2) Saudi Arabia has raised production. China has raised its domestic gas price by 17% to curb the demand. But those measures would steer the price down. How do I counter them ? Difficulty 3) How do I play scapegoating game well ? How do I make a handsome profit while without being responsible for the oil price hike ? Recent Israel Iran-Attack drill would disrupt oil supply region. But Israel is US ally. And media and think tanks would not allow it. Difficulty 4) How about playing the US old scapegoat China ? The recent feeler that “ China is the second largest oil consumer “ seems spinning well. Nobody questions that China is actually importing less oil than Japan, and much less do they know what is net import on oil. What do you say? Please advise.

Voting Question: A nanny for a family that hates me.?

I am a live-in nanny for 2 kids and am also paid to clean up the home. I work about 12 hours a day for this family, with a short break in between. I make $600 a week, which also includes housekeeping (i.e. mopping, windows, bathrooms, livingroom, laundry (for the kids) etc. I am flustered because lately the parents have been complaining to me, that the home isn't clean enough. I recently explained to them that I'm around the kids every day and don't have enough time. I suggested that they receive their cleaning lady back, who comes once every two weeks. The family still complains that I don't clean enough. I left my tennis racquet in their car, which they let me steer, and the dad flipped out on me! He said "When you leave your stuff around too, it's like I have another kid, and I can't handle that." The mom works on wallstreet, the dad is a private detective for the police. Should I have had a contract drawn up? What should I do? The 10 yr old son is spoiled too and hates me.

Resolved Question: Put yourself in my shoes for a minute

Alright, so I'm in a great University pursuing my undergrad in order to receive a stint on Wallstreet. I'm a veteran who spend 4 yrs in the Army, but is thinking about going back to the military as an officer through ROTC at my school. Well, the problem is that when I got out of the Army I got VA benefits from breaking my ankle while I was in. I currently receive $230 every month, and I probably will be receiving it for the relax of my life. My question is, should I give this benefit up so I can go back to the military for the sole purpose of getting in one of the top 5 MBA programs when my tour ends (as an officer the leadership training will be priceless), or should I just keep the benefits, stick it out, and try to receive my MBA the difficult way? To answer Col.Kurtz question, I'm in University of Texas Austin, and I think it's one of the best in the country. We rank number 1 in accounting in the world, and 6th in finance.

Resolved Question: Don't you think Obama's energy plan is far more realistic and cheaper for the American taxpayer?

He proposes regulating the speculators on WallStreet so that the oil prices cannot be so artificially raised on speculation and greed. If his bill was passed today, your gas prices could drop by half tomorrow. Don't you think this is far more realistic than a 'vacation' from gas taxes that McCain wants that would keep you only $30 for the summer? I'll take cheaper prices at the gas pump. Thanks. I can make up the difference in my pension with other investments, like solar energy which is skyrocketing.

I just read that London is taking over Wallstreet as a banking middle of the world which frightens me to think someone other than the US would control the worlds money--then I got to thinking - maybe we should consider reuniting. We could jointly control the US,UK, Canada, Australia, The Falklands and Gibralter and a few more islands maybe take Hong King back etc.. Of course the US would let them keep the Royal Family in the UK - sort of like Hawaii still has a royal family. We would be mighty strong against threats like Iran, China, Russia etc.. and we certainly wouldn't let the Saudis walk every over us anymore. good idea or not pls comment

Obama doesn't understand economics says the non-biased Wallstreet Journal. Resolved Question: The New Breed of Celebrities?

I maybe completely alone here. Does anyone else feel that WallStreet & the Financial Markets are going to be the new chilly? That very successful traders will become celebrities when people realize that they shape the world & their actions could have effects on everyone (As Micheal Douglas so accuratley displayed "Greed is Good")? At the moment (being a young hedge fund trader) it just annoys how people are so oblivious to how the markets shape their lives & I think it time we got some just recognition! A prime example there just how little people appreciate. The Credit Crunch started with traders selling huge positions causing massive lack of confidence in investors which made people realize just how little value these packages of good & bad credit were worth. Now the amount of mortgages taken out in the last 6 months has decreased by 70%+. People cannot buy homes, cars etc. Yet people just go along in a normal day pretending these things happen for no reason. Celebrities are famous because they millions $ a movie. That is absolutely nothing, Nothing on Wall road. "There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need, but not for man's greed.

Resolved Question: Did anyone know that the New World Order - Bilderburg group is meeting now at Marriott in Chantilly Virgina?

The Doomsday Seed vault has been built and completed. They now have a base in the heart of the Middle East. Their underground bunkers have been prepped. So what are they planning? Striking Iran? So why doesn't the media cover 200 World Leaders and Billionaires checking secretly into a hotel in Virginia?
